Ayden
One of the Moon astronauts.
Jensen
One of the Moon astronauts. Also the astronaut who found the alien reptile bird species artefacts.
Kyle
One of the Moon astronauts on the first mission. He was piloting the orbiter when the artefacts were found on the Moon.
Fred
The head scientist leading the investigation into the artefacts retrieved from the Moon.
Frank
The reptile expert who is called to give advice to the government science group who are investigating the artefacts that have been brought back from the Moon. He also works as a head scientist at a local museum. Previously attended a conference a few years ago and listened to David's friend James present a paper on radiometric dating.
Gail
Frank's wife. They have been married for more than ten years.
Sandra
Frank and Gail's ten year old daughter.
David
Frank's paleontologist friend who he can always turn to for any really difficult questions or problems. Currently he has a shed full of boxes of dinosaur fossils to catalog and categorize.
Garrett
A scientist friend of David's. He has some curious advice about searching for some interesting things in deep time.
David's friend out in the field
A paleontologist who is very busy digging up dinosaur fossils. He is responsible for some of the boxes of dinosaur fossils in David's shed. David likened him to a badger furiously digging up fossils.
James
One of David's friends who used to work at a university nearby. A few years ago he presented a paper on radiometric dating at a conference Frank also attended.
Pastor George
A retired Christian minister who sometimes gives David's friends some spiritual advice.
Could the avian dinosaurs have landed on the Moon?
If you believe in evolution, this is not only a distinct possibility, it may even be inevitable.
Evolutionists don’t really know how the birds survived the 66 Ma K-Pg Extinction Event and freely admit this.
“only the birds made it through the mass extinction at the end of the Cretaceous - but nobody is quite sure why”, “why these bird groups survived when other dinosaur groups didn't is a good question, and one that hasn't been answered satisfactorily”.
Though some novel suggestions have been made: The avian dinosaurs [birds] could “dive, swim, or seek shelter in water and marshlands, build burrows, or nest in tree holes, or termite nests” though this stretches the imagination when you realize the meteor impact may have released the energy of about 138 billion Hiroshima A-bombs, along with “a trillion tons of carbon dioxide, ten billion tons of methane, and a billion tons of carbon monoxide” and blasted “ten trillion tons of sulfur compounds aloft. The sulfur combined with water to form sulfuric acid, which then fell as an acid rain” which hammered down on the surface “killing plants and animals and even dissolving rocks. This rain would have been as corrosive as battery acid”. After some years of this Pangea would have been completely stripped bare of any vegetation. Also "the event rapidly acidified the oceans" and we could expect that only the hardiest species survived there also.
All land and river species most likely perished. And some dissenting evolutionists have suggested as much:
“Birds, tortoises, and mammals live on land and breathe air: the evidence from the K-T boundary shows that they survived the K-T boundary event. Therefore they and the air they breathed weren't set on broil for several hours. To put it simply, these scenarios did not happen.”
“There must be some explanation for the survival of birds, turtles, and crocodiles through any catastrophe of this scale, or else the catastrophe models are wrong.”
“some extreme impact scenarios postulate extensive acid rain bathing the earth for a long time after the impact. However, the survival of amphibians shows that this is simply a fantasy … If the entire earth had been subjected to a huge acid bath, there simply would not be a frog or salamander alive on the earth today.”
And we are told:
“what really killed the dinosaurs was sulphuric acid”
If sulphuric acid killed the dinosaurs, then it definitely would have killed all the birds, frogs, and salamanders!
Yet in all of this there is still one question that has not been addressed. There were many non-avian dinosaurs that looked like birds. If the birds survived, then why didn’t they?
So we have an interesting set of questions:
Why and how did the birds survive the K-Pg extinction event?
If the birds did survive, then just what really killed the bird-like non-avian dinosaurs?
And just how did the turtles, crocodiles, tortoises, mammals, frogs, and salamanders survive?
In fact, given the unbelievable devastation, how did even just 25% of all species survive?
This story gives a possible answer to all these questions.
